  Charlotte Area Democracy Advocates: Please read this email to find out how to order copies of brand-new color 2008 Voter Guides. Also, please join us for the next Mecklenburg GOTV Coalition meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 6:30pm at the Mecklenburg Aquatic Center (corner of MLK Blvd/McDowell St.). It's crunch time and we need your help!

  The 2008 Mecklenburg and statewide voter guides have arrived! We have 75,000 copies of the NC voter guide and 20,000 of the Mecklenburg voter guides in stock in Charlotte. Both guides are in color and include great voter and candidate information. They are strictly non-partisan and perfect for distribution in your neighborhood, place of worship, local coffee shop, or at your next PTA meeting.

  Here's what you can do to help:
  1) Help us spread the word by sending links to the voter guides to your friends and co-workers. Ask them to forward the links to others and post on friendly websites (For those of you not in Mecklenburg County, just send along the link to the statewide guide). ** Step Up!: The 2008 Complete Non-Partisan No-Excuses Guide to Voting in NC **

  2) Order and distribute print versions of the guides. Email adamsotak@democracy-nc.org to place your orders for Mecklenburg and NC guides. You must let us know where the guides you order will be distributed and how many of each version you will need. After placing your order, come to the Mecklenburg GOTV Coalition meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 6:30pm. You can pick up your orders of the guides there (good reason to clean out your car!) This is the best way for Democracy NC to ensure that you get copies of the guide. If you can't make it to the Mecklenburg GOTV Coalition meeting on Wed., Oct. 1, then we may be able to work out other arrangements. Please contact us as soon as possible.
